This has been a pretty exciting few weeks for us. First, Leighton got accepted into Georgetown University Law School for the LLM program - which was quite flattering, Then, he got an interview at a great law firm here in town. He hasn't really been actively looking for a job, but he happened to know a guy that worked there who put in a good word for him... He sort of thought it was a long shot, but, then, he got the job! They are very picky about who they hire and have pretty much zero turnover (which is unheard-of in the law profession). But, seriously, Leighton probably showed up to the interview looking handsome and sharp in his suit, and then blew them away with his personality and intellect. So, really, I shouldn't be surprised. So, Georgetown, will stay as simply flattery for now, as we head off on our new adventure! 

Brody and Allison finished out the school year. Allison did not make the lottery for the charter school down the street, so Brody and Allison will both be going to a new school next year. I am pretty bummed about that. I loved walking to school every morning. We have a lot of good memories at that school

We are planning a very fun summer. We can't wait for a our long-awaited vacation to CA to see family. This might be the last vacation for a while since Leighton will be busy when he starts the new job.

Benjamin loves tech. He loves computers, phones, cameras, anything with buttons. He has his own computer keyboard that he loves and a mouse that he takes around the house with him:

Allison's last day of preschool was pajama day. She didn't have any pj's that were appropriate for school, so we bought her some new hello kitty ones. She was so excited about her new pj's, she cleaned her room and hung them in different places around her room throughout the week. 

Allison made a vegetable lasagna. Well, didn't really make it, but she did assemble it. I just laid out the noodles, sauce, cheese, and vegetables. Then she went to town putting it all together. It was soo yummy.

Of course, Allison had to do something weird. She can't go a day without doing something weird.

The tent has moved into the living room. Now, we can "camp" and watch movies at the same time. 

I woke up to find that the kids has made themselves a breakfast of banana bread and butter. Have I mentioned that these kids have to eat the second they wake up?!

We got to babysit my cousin's baby girl for a few hours last week. She is an angel!! Allison read her books, sang lullabies, tried to breastfeed her... Ben was bamboozled.

I had a wonderful day. I got to stay at home. I didn't have anything to do outside of the house (that couldn't be put off for another day). I woke up, made a big breakfast, made a lunch for Brody, walked him to school, and spent the rest of the day hanging out with Allison and Benjamin. When Brody got home, we went to my mom's to swim.
