Allison's soccer game, hanging out with these crazy kids, cleaning out the garage, cooking tons of food, pool party for my niece's birthday, making plans for the summer...

The plans for this summer include my hard-working honey taking his Barbri class 4+ hours per day 5 days per week and studying all day on the other 2 days.... Bar exam is scheduled for July!

  • Allison got dressed 100% by herself. I didn't even have to ask her. When she came out looking like this, I loved it.

Visual narrations of Leighton's Law School Graduation weekend:

Ya, they are totally, totally out of order...

Great picture of the family... other than Leighton making a goofball face

    I love these goofy kids:

I heard that a great way to eat healthier is to use smaller serving dishes. Something tells me I missed the point.

  • Allison's soccer pictures. I like the first one - her tomboy personality really shows through.

Lazy day hanging out upstairs with Allison, Coco, the fish and some M&Ms. That was a great day. I need more of those.

Brody's school had a spring festival - Brody liked all of the carnival games, Allison loved the horses!

I was making dinner and didn't want the kids in there with me, so I told them to go in the game room and play. 30 minutes minutes later, they had all the games out... cards... puzzles, everything. at least they were having fun.

Benjamin does not like to be on his back. If he is tired and we want him to go to sleep, sometimes, we can just lay him on his tummy or his side and he will go right to sleep. I love taking pictures of him!!

  • I am trying to get together all of the pictures from other people's cameras from 3/6/12. Here are a few.

  • As with the two other kids, Benjamin went almost completely bald soon after birth. We are just now seeing some new hair growing in the bald parts. YAY!!!

Easter Sunday, the kids woke up early to check out what the Easter bunny brought for them:

Allison loves to dance. She will dance pretty much anytime there is music on. Here she is in the middle of her triple lutz:

I gave Benjamin a bath and laid him on the bed to put lotion on him. I rolled him over to lotion his back and he fell asleep just like this, so I had to take a picture.

I can't make anything without the kids coming in and scavenging off whatever I am making. Tomatoes, cheese, potatoes, broccoli, fruit, whatever is getting chopped up at the time. They used to do it because they were hungry, but now they just automatically come to the kitchen anytime I am cooking - out of habit.

  • Spring Break

We kicked off our Spring Break with a big breakfast and a long talk about all of the fun stuff we wanted to do this week. The list was pretty long to begin with, then mommy added soccer practice, swimming lessons, and Judo. Then we watched episodes of The Last Airbender until noon and decided to get started on checking things off our list. We have a busy and fun week ahead. Of course, Leighton doesn't really get a spring break, he still has to go to work and he still has his mediation stuff at the court house and class once a week. Poor guy... only about a month left, hang in there!

So, now, let's talk about Benjamin laughing.  He has now figured out how to take a bottle. This is such a big thing for me! Now (or when I start producing more), I can have a lot less stress when I leave the house, and since I have two other kids to take care of, I am almost never home. He still gets fed every 2 hours or less, so when I leave, I feel like I am always in a rush. We are still working to get him to take a pacifier. I have three kids now - I need him to take a pacifier!!

Here is Benjamin's newborn picture next to Brody's. I think there are some similarities.

  • The birth, the new routine

So, here is the birth story since people have been asking about it. (apparently, they missed the post about me having a scheduled c-section). So, I went to the hospital, had a baby, then came home two days later. Pretty awesome.

The really awesome part about it is that I am so blessed to have the most AMAZING!! family that dropped everything in their lives to come and take care of me and the kids while I was recovering from the C-section. I have nothing but positive memories and warm thoughts of those days.

And, now that our family is complete with our perfect little baby boy, we are still adjusting to the new "everyday".

I LOOOOOVE waking up to this sweet face - no matter how early. Here he is with his first milk mustache and his "compliments to the chef" smirk.

Brody and Allison playing in the backyard. When they are not fighting, they actually get along pretty well.

Our new night-time thing - pretty much the same as before except with a baby sleeping on the couch

Allison loves her baby brother, and she likes to put all of her new baby skills to work on Elmo.

Benjamin falling asleep during a diaper change:

Brody and Allison have learned to be surprisingly independent during the pregnancy - when mommy was too pregnant to go upstairs and daddy was still at school - my favorite part is that they can now put themselves to bed!

just thought I would throw this one in here:

  • Pictures from Brody's camera 3/4 - 3/6

Two days before Benjamin's arrival, Brody decided to take pictures of his sister, Coco, and a giant pile of laundry.

The night before Benjamin's arrival: Grandma getting ready for a crazy week, daddy stressing out, Kristen just being huge.

  • Brody is 6 and Allison is 4!

Well, we had our first "friend" birthday party - remember, the one that we invited all 13 kids in Brody's class?  Allison invited a couple of her friends too. I think she is still a little too young to really pay attention that more that a 3 friends at a time..  I really didn't want to do a theme, tons of decorations, games, fancy food, party favors,..... That all just sounds exhausting! Have I mentioned that I am HUGE and having a baby is 3 days!! Well, it ended up being more people than I expected - a little crazy, but in a good way. So, we put out some toys, and, of course, cupcakes and decorations and let all the kids go crazy decorating. Leighton did hot dogs, chips, drinks, and all that. It was crazy and loud, but it was absolutely perfect.
